Sabbat Sun Shots

I have been watching the sun rise for years on the Sabbats but this year, with my digital camera, began taking pictures of the sunrise on each Sabbat. It has been a very interesting experience for me. I tried to take the pictures from two viewpoints. One being directly East (as is at Midsummer) and the other towards to farthest point South (as at Yule). Due East, I happily discovered is a Dogwood Tree that is recognizable yet totally different in each picture. At Beltane it is full of blossoms, now, six months later it is brilliantly red. The Southern focal point are my wind chimes. All pictures were taken in my back yard. Double-click to enlarge.

Yule - you can see the sun rising South of the chimes in picture one. In the second, you can see the dead yellow leaves on the Dogwood
Imbolc -Oops...looks like I wasn't thinking about the Dogwood here, but you can see that the sun appears to rise farther east, now between the chimes
Spring Equinox - Strangely it snowed. The sun is much farther East of the chimes and the Dogwood looks dead.
Beltane - Chimes can no longer be seen. The sun rises beautifully behind the blooming Dogwood.
Midsummer - Two glorious views directly behind the Dogwood.
Lugnasadh - Sun appears more to the South, behind the lush dogwood.
Autumnal Equinox - Sun farther South yet, the dogwood bearing red berries
Samhain - it was supposed to snow today (LOL) We can see the chimes again. The sun can be seen through the red leaves of the dogwood.
