Beltaine, 2004
Raven:
Let's see....five years. I was in that darn
contraption after my back surgery. Thought I'd never recover. Now,
three children's marriages, one divorce and 5 grandchildren (and one more on the
way!) later, there's lots to celebrate!
Hawk and I decided to get together to
celebrate Beltaine Eve. We started out at our favorite New Age
Store. I bought two black sunshine happy faced wind chimes with
Tibetan style chimes, one for each. We saw some wooden pipes about 5
feet long that looked aboriginal and joked about what would happen
if we used them to call the quarters! Then we stopped at a few places
where I needed to do a few things. Then we had a delightful lunch in
an old Tavern. Hawk had surprised me by bringing along a few gifts
for me (hope you don't mind me sharing this with the world, hawk - a
very cute rubber duckie, a beautiful white beanie baby unicorn and a
magic lamp!!! I sure hope all my wishes come true! Oh, and
flowers. Hadn't gotten flowers from anyone in quite awhile, except
for the grandkids picking them from my own yard LOL.
Beltaine day I spent with my son and three of my
male grandchildren, all five and under. Who's gonna follow the
leader? Who's gonna be the leader? Hey, let's make a Maypole. Wait a
minute - where's the Maypole? where are the girls? the ribbons? How
about we fly a kite instead? We couldn't quite get the youngest to
join us in here we go round the Mulberry Bush. Swing on the swings,
two swings, three kids. , had to break open one of the swings to get
a too chubby leg out. Oh well, fun anyway.
At least we made a circle and held hands.
Hey, it's 'hawk's turn. He promised me something.
I better go check my email!!! OOPS - he's not there yet! Guess I'll
go look for him on the astral plain!!
'Hawk:
Our site is five years old today! I would have to say we all owe
that to Raven. Hawk may be able to spin a tale or two.. but my
computer skills have never advanced beyond simple email. And
Toohig?? Well.. let's just say his talons are not ideal for typing!
LOL
As I browse the site.. enjoy some of the articles.. and basically
play "remember when," I have to say this truly is a magickal place
to visit. The site began as a project based on the love, friendship
and common interests between two dear friends.. and these pages
continue to be a testament to "the continuing adventures of.. "
And that is as it should be! :) Raven, Toohig and I have enjoyed
sharing a side of ourselves with all of you..
That brings me to the real Magick of our site.. that would most
certainly be all of YOU!! :) I see by the counter we've had over
8000 visitors! Not bad for two solitary practioners, and an
opinionated dragon! LOL Your comments and occasional emails
continue to to be a source of joy and great fun!
On that note, I'll wish us a Happy Birthday! :) ... and wish us ALL
a lifetime of days of Love, Light and Laugher!
'Till We Merry Meet again...
Hawk, Raven, and Toohig, of course :)
